Disney’s Aladdin JR. is based on the 1992 Academy Award®-winning film and the 2014 hit Broadway show about the “diamond in the rough” street rat who learns that his true worth lies deep within. The story you know and love has been given the royal treatment! Aladdin and his three friends, Babkak, Omar, and Kassim, are down on their luck until Aladdin discovers a magic lamp and the Genie who has the power to grant three wishes. Wanting to earn the respect of Princess Jasmine, Aladdin embarks on an adventure that will test his will and his moral character.

REQUIREMENTS: This is a Broadway Jr. production that has specific age limitations. Anyone the ages 10-18 are able and welcome to audition! Anyone auditioning for a lead character will be required to prepare and sing a song that will showcase your voice. We will be evaluating your performance on vocal quality as well as your portrayal of a character while singing. If you download an instrumental version of your song for auditions, we will have a Bluetooth sound system available to link your device. Please bring a bottle of water, tennis or dance (jazz) shoes, and wear comfortable clothing. ROLES: • Aladdin – a charismatic, poor street urchin. A thief with a heart of gold that longs to make his mother proud. • Babkak, Omar, and Kassim – Aladdin’s three loyal and best friends. • Genie – a fast-talking, fun-loving, scene-stealing wisecracker who lives in the lamp and yearns to be free. • Iago – the fawning and funny sidekick to Jafar. • Isir, Manal, and Rajah – Jasmine’s devoted attendants and friends. • Jafar – the power-hungry and crooked Grand Vizier with a two-faced personality. • Jasmine – Princess of Agrabah, longs to experience the world outside the palace walls. She craves the freedom to make her own choices. • Sultan – warm-hearted ruler who dotes on his daughter and is committed to upholding the ancient laws of Agrabah. • Agrabahns – The people of Agrabah: beggars, vendors, fortune tellers, shop owners, and palace guards. • Prince Abdullah – one of Princess Jasmine’s haughty and arrogant suitors. • Ensemble
